Who we are
AAA Sandblasting is a sandblasting and surface restoration business based in St. Helier, Jersey, Channel Islands. We operate the website aaasandblasting.je. For the purposes of data protection law, AAA Sandblasting is the data controller for the personal data collected through this website.

The laws that apply
We are based in Jersey and comply with the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018 and the Data Protection Authority (Jersey) Law 2018. Because visitors may also come from the United Kingdom and the European Union, we handle personal data in line with the principles of the UK GDPR and EU GDPR as well.
Information you give us — enquiry form
When you submit the enquiry form on this website we collect your name, phone number, email address and the details you provide about your project. We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry and, if you proceed, to provide you with a quote and our services.
Your enquiry is delivered to us by email to info@aaasandblasting.je. The email is sent through Lovable, our website hosting and email delivery provider, which processes the message on our behalf in order to deliver it. We do not store your enquiry in a website database, sell it, or share it with anyone else.
We keep enquiry emails for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows, after which they are deleted.
The legal basis for this processing is taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our services.
Marketing cookies and the Meta Pixel
This website uses the Meta Pixel, an advertising measurement tool provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. It helps us understand whether our Facebook and Instagram advertising is working, and allows Meta to show our ads to people who have visited this website (retargeting) and to build audiences with similar interests.
The Meta Pixel does not load unless you have given your consent. When you first visit from a region that requires consent (including Jersey, the UK and the EU), a consent banner appears and no advertising tracking takes place until you choose "Accept". Choosing "Reject" is just as easy as accepting, and rejecting means no marketing cookies or pixels are set at all. The website works fully either way.
If you accept, the pixel records:
- PageView — which pages of this site you visit.
- ViewContent — when you view key sections such as our services or quote form.
- Contact — when you click our phone number or email link.
- Lead — only after an enquiry is successfully sent through our form.
This information is sent to Meta and may be combined by Meta with your Facebook or Instagram account in accordance with Meta’s own privacy policy. Meta may process this data outside Jersey, the UK and the EEA (including in the United States) under its own safeguards.
Campaign attribution (UTM parameters)
If you arrive via one of our adverts, the link may contain campaign parameters (such as utm_source, utm_campaign or a Facebook click ID, fbclid). We store these in your browser’s session storage for the duration of your visit so that, if you send us an enquiry, we can see which campaign it came from. This summary is included in the internal enquiry notification email and is deleted from your browser when you close the tab. It is not used for any other purpose.
Cookies and browser storage we use
This website itself uses very little storage:
- Marketing consent choice (local storage) — remembers whether you accepted or rejected marketing cookies so we don’t ask you on every visit. This is necessary to honour your choice.
- Campaign attribution (session storage) — as described above; cleared when you close the tab.
- Meta Pixel cookies (e.g. _fbp) — set by Meta only if you accept marketing cookies.
We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies from other networks, or any tracking other than the Meta Pixel described above. We do not set any non-essential cookies before you have made a consent choice.
To work out whether to show you the consent banner, the website reads the country code your browser’s connection reports (via our hosting provider’s standard network headers). This is used only to decide whether consent is required; we do not record or store it.
Who we share data with
- Lovable — hosts this website and delivers enquiry emails on our behalf.
- Meta Platforms, Inc. — receives pixel event data, only where you have consented to marketing cookies.
We do not sell your personal data or share it with any other third parties.
Your rights
Under the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018 (and, where applicable, the UK/EU GDPR) you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Ask us to delete your data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent at any time (see below).
To exercise any of these rights, email info@aaasandblasting.je. If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Jersey Office of the Information Commissioner (joic.org.je). UK visitors may complain to the ICO, and EU visitors to their national data protection authority.
Changing or withdrawing your consent
You can change your marketing cookie choice at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings (or using the link below), after which the consent banner will appear again on your next visit and no advertising tracking will occur unless you accept again.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to the website or the law. The "last updated" date at the top shows when it was last revised.
